Occasionally on Wednesdays, we’ll be featuring stories that are…well, weird. Back in 2007, a roving band of mostly friendly–not to mention identical–German Shepherds invaded the grounds of the Neil Armstrong Air & Space Museum in Wapakoneta, Ohio. No one is quite sure where they came from, or where they went next, but the marauding pack of benign canines spent over twenty minutes at the museum, sniffing the grass, and climbing the moon-shaped dome encasing the Astro Theater, the museum’s main attraction. This incredibly strange story was relayed to us by former groundskeeper James Dailey, who was sadly the only witness to the affair, and didn’t think to take any pictures, hence this poor Photoshop rendering. We tried to follow up with Mr. Dailey about his experience, but sadly he committed suicide last week while a patient at the Appalachian Behavioral Healthcare Facility in Athens, Ohio.
